About 400 million years ago when Morocco was covered by huge ice caps glacial scratches were formed in the mountains and these can still be viewed in the Ordovician Glaciation located in Tazzarine-Zagora region of Moracco.
Tafraoute granites present a dramatic view of differently shaped granite rocks that were formed due to the changes in earth more than 500 million years ago. This lunar landscape is located in the eastern side of Anti Atlas
