South Africa is renowned for its wonderful climate, thriving ecosystem and a magnificent biological diversity which altogether have made it one of the paramount hot spots for watching birds. The land has almost 850 species, migrant, resident and endemic. Below is a given a brief idea on some birding areas here.

The most important is the Cape Town region famous for pelagic and sea birds. You will find a broad range of gulls, terns, albatrosses, cormorants, petrels, boobies, tropic birds, frigate birds and also African penguins. The best time for bird watching here is June and July. The favorite endemics here are protea seedeater, Cape sugarbird, Cape rockjumper etc.

The Kwazulu-Natal region is regarded for around 340 bird species like African broadbill, palmnut vulture or Knysna turacos. Then you have Mpumalanga, popular for bush blackcap, white and blue bellied korhaans, and wattled cranes, varieties of eagles, ostrich and Kori bustard. The area is popular for organized trips for bird watching.

Must carry things when going on a skiing trip

Going on a ski trip? You must have meticulously planned how much fun you are going to have. Along with that planning, you should also plan what things you are going to carry with you on this skiing trip.

You should carry a ski helmet with you so that you don’t fall and risk having a hemorrhage. You should also carry your own ski boots, skis, poles and a snowboard if you are in the mood for that. Carry your own sunscreen and goggles. Carry a trail map or a gps device. You should also take thermal underwear, ski jacket and snow boots. Also, carry a first aid kit with you because you never know when you might need it.

You should also carry a water carrier and a rucksack to keep all your accessories and necessities at hand. Take these things along and others you think necessary and you will surely have fun.
