Are you a lover of the outdoors? If so, backpacking through Europe can be a fine vacation idea for you. In order to make your backpacking trip a pleasurable one, it is quite important that you carry along with you few backpacking essentials. First, Make sure you carry only the bare essentials, as there will be no porter around you to carry your bags. You need to carry your bags yourself, thus the lighter they are the better for you. But in course of packing light, make sure you do not leave out on anything important.

Carry a portable tent with a sleeping bag and air pillows as hotels may or may not be available. Next, carry ready to eat food as finding a proper restaurant may be quite tricky. You can also carry cooking equipments with you, in order to fix up a meal yourself. Besides these, carrying few more essentials like a compass, a map of the area and a first aid kits etc are absolutely indispensable.
